Meet Our Team!

I started my medical training at McMaster University where I obtained my Medicine degree and started on my path to cardiology. I went on to complete my residency in Internal Medicine, and subsequently Adult Cardiology at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. My training then came full circle as I completed an Advanced Echocardiography Fellowship back at McMaster.

I am thrilled to be joining the Orillia community to bring cardiac care and diagnostic skills to the area through Orillia Cardiac Care. My practice will include all aspects of general cardiology, but I have a special interest in cardiovascular disease prevention and valvular disease. I will also be serving Simcoe County in general as a Staff Cardiologist at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie. I look forward to being a part of your cardiac care team and hope to see you outside the clinic while I get my exercise enjoying the great outdoors with my wife and dogs.

I am excited to serve as the Office Manager at Orillia Cardiac Care. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University. With over 15 years experience in the medical field – as both a Medical Receptionist and Office Manager – I bring a strong background in patient care, organization and clinic operations.

I am enthusiastic about creating a welcoming, efficient, and compassionate environment for our patients and staff. I look forward to supporting our team and assisting Dr. Nolan in joining our wonderful city!

Medical Office Assistant: Carly Richardson

I have a decade of experience in medical administration, having worked with the North Simcoe Muskoka Rapid Access Clinic for Low Back Pain, The Couchiching Family Health Team’s MSK Program, and as the Privacy Assistant for the CFHT & COHT Unattached Care Clinic.

Educationally, I have a post-graduate in Public Relations from Niagara College/Brock University in St. Catharines and completed the Health Records Information Management Program at George Brown College in Toronto.

Outside of work, I'm currently pursuing the Ontario CIPP-C course, working towards certification. I also love spending time with my friends & their children (who affectionately call me "Auntie Bar-Bar"), and walking my Basset Hound, Winston.
I am excited to be a member of the Cardiac Care team, supporting the Orillia and surrounding communities.

As someone who has always been passionate about exercise and health, being a registered Cardiology Technologist allows me to combine my interests and serve the local community. At Orillia Cardiac Care, I’m responsible for Treadmill Stress Tests, Holter Monitors, and Electrocardiograms (ECGs).

When I’m not at work, you’ll find me enjoying the outdoors, playing fetch with my dog, Vern, or curled up with a good book.

My journey in Canada started in 2018, as an International Medical graduate with 5 years of experience in Anesthesiology and cardiac risk assessment. I had a keen interest in continuing my career in Healthcare and patient management so I decided to get my credentials as a Cardiac Sonographer based on my interest and experience in Cardiology and Diagnostic Imaging.

I finished my training in Toronto and became a Licensed Registered Cardiac Sonographer with CMRITO and decided to be a part of the incredible team here at Orillia Cardiac Care to help the community with cardiac ailments under the management of Dr. Christopher Nolan. I have experience in performing Transthoracic, Stress, and Contrast Echocardiograms. I hope to continue to be a part of something that will serve as positive to the Orillia area and surrounding communities.

I love nature and outdoor activities and try to stay in touch with local and cultural traditions. I enjoy hiking, camping, travelling, and watching/playing tennis along with various other sports. Thank you to our patients for allowing me the opportunity to participate in your cardiac care!
